Senso WILMA Bootie Coming Soon In Neon Pink + White/Brown Cheetah
Senso is one of Australia’s hippest shoe labels, especially now that their Wilma shootie (aghh – worst term) have been re-launched with electric pink and brown/creme animal prints.
The new Wilmas will still be priced at $160 per pair, and are currently on pre-order, with delivery at September 30th. I can feel it in my bones the pink Wilma is going to be a hot blog topic in coming months.. get a jump on her bones before everyone else does!

Death To Trouser Boots!!
These boots are so incredibly heinous I can’t imagine anyone would actually want to put them on (much less spend their money on them), but I’ve seen some cray-crazy looks across this globe and this kind of faux pas is always worth a mention.
To clarify, I’m not talking about the ultra cute and sleek foldover boots (think Be & D’s Cornwall), but the trouser-style that Guiseppe Zanotti for Balmain knockoffs. These are so incredibly horrid, I can’t even imagine a bar star kicking drinks over on a counter with these beasts on!!

Be & D Has Fall Flats Covered
New York’s Be & D is thankfully focusing on more wearable shoes this season. Not that heels aren’t super rad, but flats are long wearing, long lasting and the best shoes for every day wear.
Be & D has updated a few of their classic designs for the new season; the Cornwall is a cropped version of the Saratoga, and the Joe is an updated version of the classic Memphis.
New kids in town include the buckled and distressed Leo, sheepskin lined Wales, camo or sequin Cheshire booties and the very NYC Saville. I’ve got a soft spot for the Cornwall, but hey, there’s always room for the rest of the gang.

Sam Edelman Is Totally Killing The Balenciaga Sole (And Not In A Good Way)
The Zoe was cool, but that was because it was a knockoff of an amazing piece by Balenciaga that happened to be brilliantly designed. There comes a time when a trickle down designer just needs to play ‘let it be’ with a base, even if it has been their recent meal ticket – such a thing has happened with the Balenciaga inspired sole.
Months after the Zoe blew up, we’re now burdened with the Zale, Zachary, Zamara and Zain. The only incarnation I approve of is the Zoyla, due to its closeness to the Zoe‘s design.

Jeffrey Campbell Does A Leather MEEKER!!
We’ve seen the brown suede Jeffrey Campbell Meeker, but this one is sleeker, more fall ready and well, blacker.
These are the black leather and wooden architectural wedge Meeker ankle boots, which are an incredible vision to look at. These are incredibly bold, sleek and Finsk-inspired chic – all for $160.
Not bad, but what I really want to know is how they wear!
6 Low Heel BUCKLED BOOTS You’re Going To Love
Buckle boots aren’t just for pirates (or Vivienne Westwood) any more – FW10 has officially marked the highest concentration of low or flat heel boots featuring buckles that we’ve seen in years. These aren’t just your goth averages, these are punk inspired pieces that add a visual storm to your look.
Ankle boots are the most vintage inspired, so if you want to get low, RedByWolves’ Yvan contrast buckle boot are just the ticket for a snappy wardrobe addition. Next, we’ll crawl up to mid calf – Marc Jacobs’ buckled suede boot, Dolce Vita’s sculpted Rosalie or even the Westwood-inspired ASOS Abbott boots are similar styles with very different overall looks.
There are a few tall babies in the jungle; CYDWOQ’s Alpha Tone and the elusive Balmain Western style buckle boots, which are on pre-order right now. Those require the ultra investment, though the flat style ensure you can wear the boots for many seasons to come.

IF ONLY.. Vivienne Westwood Over The Knee Pirate Boots
Vivienne Westwood’s pirate boots have been a classic since the 1970s, but they haven’t reached over the calf. It’s time to get over the knee, and fast!
Wouldn’t the boot to the left look splendid with a taller shaft? (please, hold the jokes in people).
Bring on the higher Pirates!
Volatile’s WARRIOR Boot Mirror’s Balmain SS10
It may be a season late, but Balmain’s buckled ankle booties have been cloned by Volatile to create their Warrior. Instead of paying upwards of $500, you’re getting a similar [only suede, not canvas] pair of booties for 1/5th the price.
The Warriors are available in both olive and black, and are picture perfect for the coming fall season.

LD Tuttle’s Over The Knee Boots, $250 Cheaper @ Luisa Via Roma
LD Tuttle’s tall boots are all the rage right now, especially since they reach so high up the thigh.
I’ve been searching Shopbop, La Garçonne, Creatures of Comfort – they all had the Shaper boots at $860 per pair. Not Luisa Via Roma – they’re shown at LVR at $645US per pair; a $250 price difference!
Now if only they would carry the greige pair!
I’m Not Sure How I Feel About Alexander Wang’s MIRTE Sock Boots
I won’t lie, these are the Alexander Wang Mirte sock boots look a little off to me. If you think the Mirtes look familiar, they’re like a flat version of the SS10 Wang Freja tall boots, only with less lace involved. These are curious shoes, and while I believe that there are people who can pull off nearly everything designed, I really want to see these worn by someone that hasn’t been professionally styled.
The Mirtes are $925 per pair – not quite a thoughtless purchase, though one can imagine if you could pull them off you could wear them incredibly often.

Shoe Lovers, This Is Matt Bernson
We haven’t really explored any different high street talent in the shoe world lately, so we’re going to break the cycle with Matt Bernson. MB has a host of excellent styles for us from entirely different style spectrums; a leather loafer (and loafers are so hot right now), a black wedge, a sweater effect bootie or even a lace-less combat boot.
These are reasonably priced kicks that are incredibly on trend, wearable and seasonal survivors. I’m really into the Gitanes loafer right now, and I’m thinking these would look super hot on boys too!

ASOS Does An Ankle Bootie A Little Like Alexander Wang
Alexander Wang’s minimalistic platform boot is a hell of a shoe, and while it’s perfectly delicious on so many levels, it’s also a bit of a purseload.
While it isn’t close to the perfection of the Wang, ASOS’ Alesha bootie has the basics covered – platform, tapered heel, pull on heel tab and almond shaped toe. Not bad for just over $100 US, and oh so classic.

Senso Takes Influence From Acne’s ADMIRE
I’ve been mulling over Senso’s Neve wedge for a while now, and I couldn’t put down exactly what was so familiar about them. After going cross eyed at my laptop screen, it finally hit – the wedge shape was incredibly similar to Acne’s Admire buckle booties.
Though the Senso pair are a wee bit shorter, the shape of the boot is definitely alike. For the money value, Australia’s Senso are the clear choices.. that is, unless you happen to have $900 laying around for a new pair of kicks.

AllSaints Does Finsk’s Wooden Wedge In Shoe Form
Where Jeffrey Campbells Meeker wedge bears heel architectural similarity, there is no doubting the influence AllSaints’ designers were experiencing when they created their Kalman wedge was Finsk.
While the heels are quite similar, the coloring of the two pieces is identical – both pairs have stained black wood, as well as a natural wood color. It all depends what you’re looking for; a shoe or a boot, and an AllSaints or a Finsk!

Doc Martens Gets Sleek & Buckled With The ALETTA
Doc Martens has come out with a sleek and shiny boot, and the Aletta is everything the next generation DM boot should be.
The Alettas come in three shades, are triple buckled and are $130 per pair. Not bad for an incredibly wearable boot that is swinging in just in time for fall 2010!

80%20 FW10 Collection Has Us Riding On Ripples Of Leather
These are just a taste of 80%20‘s new fall footwear range – beautifully wrinkled leathers, cropped boots, hidden wedges and even heeled hiking boots are ruling the collection.
At first glance these may appear to be your standard fall boot effect, but that’s far from the truth. The detailing is where a 80%20 boot gives itself away; for that, check out the Bernie boot – it appears to be a standard cropped riding boot with a low heel, but really it’s got an entire hidden wedge inside the sole. It’s kind of like those height enhancing insoles, only built in.
The wedge hiking boot has also proven to be a season favorite, along with studding details and a new take on a jazz/saddle shoe hybrid. All of these kicks and more are new from 80%20, so watch out for them hitting footwear boutiques in the coming weeks!

For The Ultra Wedge Lovers, Senso’s NEVE Is Sent For You
With just a Rick Owens leather foldover and buckle, these Senso Neve booties are just the ticket for us tall wedge lovers.
Senso has been giving us some heavy hits over the last few months (thanks to Solestruck for carrying), and the Neve bootie is a wonderful successor just released in time for fall 2010.
While the bronze metallic snakeskin pair are loud and proud, though faux skin prints like these are liable to rub off easily and hinder long term wear. For the investment shopper, go for the pebbled leather nappa pair - both are the same price, and they’re not only going to last much longer, but go with more looks.
Jeffrey Campbell’s Meeker Takes Cues From Finsk
Architectural wedges are the favorite of the footwear world right now, thus it was only natural progression to have a Jeffrey Campbell interpretation to the Finsk wedge booties.
These are the greige suede Meeker wedges; perfectly on trend due to their color, shaft crop and Finsk-esque wedge look. For $155, what’s not to love?!

WOAH.. A 29″ Shaft! (That’s What She Said)
We’ve got high hopes for over the knee boots this year, so high in fact that we’ve got hopes inching all the way up our thighs. Tall boots are a key layering tool this fall, so wear them in place of trousers with some really tight jeans, leggings (if your bum is in shape), or some crazy cool shorts.
The tallest of the tall happen to be Louboutins (of course), but the Gazolinas climb 29 freaking inches up the leg! Second to the Loubs are theVera Wang Lavender Vickys (24.5″), Rick Owens platforms (24″), then the L.A.M.B. Glamette Bondage at 23″ and Topshop’s Barley boots.

Greige Tall Boots Are Just What The Trendmonster Ordered!
Greige may have started on our nation’s nails, but the color has quickly gained speed and has taken over not only our clothing but footwear. Since the tall boot is the order of the season, it’s only natural that we count the four most loveliest pieces of boot.
Golden Goose is certainly the golden egg of the boot world, and the Charlye pull on is a natural choice, especially in its new greige shade. For less of a riding boot and something more aggressive, Dior’s over the knee motorcycle boots are equal parts ‘sass’ and ‘frass’.
Pour la Victoire’s Pilar boots are the most affordable of the bunch, though one can imagine once greige leathers begin to gain steam in the highstreet that will change. LD Tuttle’s The Shaper boot is the real gem here – the shaft is an astounding 26″ tall, and it’s fitted so your leg won’t look bulky while you wear them. Amazing, right?
