In celebration of Lancôme‘s 75th anniversary, they have partnered with Canadian knitwear wunderkind Mark Fast to feature a free landmark installation at Toronto’s Arts and Creativity festival, Luminato from June 11 to 20.

“This exciting design project with Lancôme for Luminato has allowed my work to transcend boundaries by fusing art, fashion and architectural design. It has literally elevated my designs beyond the body. My interpretation of the iconic Lancôme rose was born of my desire to develop a unique visual expression that goes beyond garments.”

The installation will be inspired by Lancôme’s rose, which will allow the brand’s iconic symbol to be reinterpreted in a way only Mark Fast could.   The rose sculpture will be see Fast outfitting architecture in rope sculpture and fashion a dress of lycra, viscose and Swarovski Elements – a sight to behold, to be sure.

“The exhibition will encompass a rope structure that represents the emotion the Lancôme woman evokes. In my mind and my design, she encompasses the whole space and she is an inspiration to all people who behold her.”

Those in Toronto will behold a masterpiece and a first for Fast, Luminato and Lancôme alike.
