Topshop’s Vision Of SS10 Lace

There has never been any dispute regarding whether or not Topshop was king of the high street – the shop are the obvious victor against any foe.  Now considering the task of taking 2010 RTW concepts, then adapting them to lace fabric construction without having your outfit is lingerie? That’s a task and a half.  In this, Topshop has exceeded expectations by a mile, and kept running.

The first piece that caught my eye was the lace blazer ($110); this jacket follows the basic boyfriend blazer design Topshop created last Spring, and paired cream lace with a very excellent light grey.  This has created a delicate, sensible interpretation of an excellent basic that has been updated to suit current trending.

Other favorite creations are the lace skater dress ($80), VITA lace peep toe boot ($50) and the long sleeve lace stripe top ($80).  The stripe top is particularly ingenious; it gives a delicate, near bondage look to it without causing the wearer to appear as if they have burst free of someone’s basement.

Check out Topshop’s entire lace arsenal – there is an incredible amount of variance you will only find at a shop like this, and you’d best be taking advantage of it.

Ooo! Lovely collection. I especially like the “PREMIUM TULLE AND LACE SLIP” – bottom left corner. The blazer and the stripe long sleeve blouse are pretty neat too.
