This was a predictable venture, though I was expecting a little more design creativity in the product shots.
These three designs clearly stemmed from the incredibly popular Rollerball studded loafer, which shares high similarities with all three of the released shoe designs. While the studded brogue shoe is a delight, the studded high top sneakers are such a blatant ripoff of Converse that it sucks the magic from them.
Fingers crossed Louboutin is only testing the waters for a men’s footwear range, and will delve into more intense creativity after the market has been proven. At a price point of approx. $1,200 per pair, the current market of boys able to afford these kicks are limited to the elite.
