Jean Paul Gaultier x Levi’s Preview Photos

One of the world’s most loved couture designers, Jean Paul Gaultier, has taken a stake in the denim world thanks to a collaboration with all-American brand Levi’s.

JPG is really taking this diffusion line concept to another level; first with an announced Target GO collaboration, then with the denim diffusion.  While the jury is still out on the design success of the Target collabs, this Levi’s range appears to be a catch and a half.

The preview photos provide an entirely punk and decidedly British feel for the collection; red piping, stripes and many ‘x’ shapes dot the JPG x Levi’s landscape.  Accentuating the pieces are grunged out boys featuring angry tatts, excellent mess hair styling and a look which could fit more than the average North American.

Since this collection is officially SS10, the release date has not been stated just yet.  At the end of it all, this is one androgynous friendly range that can work for either gender – now wipe your drool, people.

Is it too early to ask if this collection will be coming to their Vancouver stores?

@Emmy: I’ve asked a Levi’s rep about that, but they’re not letting any details slip as of right now.
