When I first laid eyes on the Prada hip waders (which were featured on their FW09 runways), I was a bit terrified.  By the time Jeffrey Campbell released the Obscene boot ($269), I had begun to warm – but the question still remained: would I ever see these worn live?

For all of Vancouver’s rain, I highly doubt many could bear the rubber and glue stares of almost fearful ooglers. 

These boots are difficult to find at best, and when they appear (and disappear) I wonder where they’re going and who’s actually wearing them. 

It’s not for lack of quality; these boots are fully leather, include a belt and straps for attachment.  The shafts of the boot are studded up the leg for detail, and there is a very slight 1.5″ heel to cap things off.
