Holt Renfrew, Canada’s Neiman Marcus, is owned by the second wealthiest family in Canada. We’re talking about billionaires here – the big leagues. What I can’t fathom is this family owns, supports and develops Holt Renfrew and the chain doesn’t even have an online buying environment.
Besides the initial investment of creating the online buying site function, the items sell themselves. The internet does not require shopkeepers, but perhaps only a few online support people. It also provides a reference to the shop’s entire stock; for browsing, for curiosity and possibly for free promotion; blogs and the like.
As a style writer, I have not once featured an item I chose from Holt Renfrew on this website. This site is likely a speck of dust to the Westons, but imagine thousands of specks – they could create a hell of a dust ball of potential business for Holt’s… and for free.
Holt Renfrew and the Westons, let’s get on with it!

Totally agreed, it’s way overdue! I can shop online at Barney’s and Neiman Marcus but Holt Renfrew, Canada’s only high fashion retail chain, doesn’t even display up to date stock on their website.
12.06.09 @ 7:14 pmI agree! I was Googling to find their online shopping when I found this article. It’s unbelievable that they are so far behind the times. The least they could do is show current stock on the website so we know if we want to visit the store.
03.19.12 @ 3:25 pmToo bad, I was hoping to order online. I was at the Yorkdale store yesterday and wanted to purchase a perfume but wanted my husbands thoughts before I did. Although I’m an hour away i can always order it on line…so I thought. Perhaps in the near future
