I enjoyed the line. There was alot of hot chicks there to say the least. I scored a couple of items dirt cheap and so what it had a stain or two. Just adds character.

@Undercover: I would have been quite unimpressed if I had to wait in line. I got there at around 10:30, and spent about 45 minutes there. I actually managed to find some great pieces, spending about $120. Nothing got me super hyped, but it was worth it.

I'm sorry to hear after you waited, you left empty handed - I was also a bit worried about that outcome when I saw the pastels and whatnot.

Epic sigh.

I went to the sale today. I was so excited about going, but now I know... totally not worth it, and I won't waste my time next year.

My sister and I arrived at 9:30am and waited an hour and a half. By the time we got in the doors the place was a complete mess. Half the clothes were on the floor being trampled on, the clothes on the racks were either really old stock, humungous sizes, ripped, or stained.

After freezing our asses off for so long, we were determined to find SOMETHING to make it worth the wait. We spent two hours digging. There were some tables in the back tent where the staff was unpacking boxes, and if you wanted any hope of getting something good you had to stake out a spot in front of the tables and then do battle with the other crazed vultures.

In then end as I sorted through my finds, I realized that I didn't even really like any of the stuff I had. It just seemed decent compared to all that other trash. Because seriously, most of the clothes were literally garbage. Even the Salvation Army won't accept stuff with holes or nasty stains... and AA wants money for it?! No thanks.

After all that hassle, I left the sale empty handed and very unimpressed.

@Georgia: That's really unfortunate.. I can't believe they would sell pieces with stains and holes! Sadly this isn't the first time I've heard someone say they got a holey AA piece on sale.

Rude staff that give condescending looks. Vague answers to customers' inquiries. Disorganized and not worth the wait. A lot of rummaging as the name describes, but did not expect the stains and big holes!

Not worth it. There were hundreds of negative comments on AA's rummage sale event FB wall. They went on a blitz and started copy and pasting their twitter messages on to the wall in attempts to shuffle down the bad comments. But people kept posting how bad it was, then they started deleting. Until others caught on that their reviews were getting deleted, so they posted another comment about AA's censorship. Now, the entire fb wall is scrapped.

So much effort to hide a shitty sale. Really really not worth it.
