While American Apparel comes out with new blasts of products every few weeks, it’s still worthwhile to keep on top of their merch list.

The four sweetest items for this rotation are definitely the cream of the AA crop.  The top piece is the lace bodysuit ($62); it was released the longest time ago, but it’s an exceptional layering piece with many options through the seasons.  Wear the bodysuit with a crop top, draped dress, shorts, cropped knit leggings – anything.  The options are extensive to be sure.

The oversized circular pullover ($46) is a close second. In cold weather (which is all the time right about now for most of us), layer a fitted long sleeve knit under for a color peek effect.  This batwing pullover will look impeccable and highly of the moment with nearly anything vacuum packed on your bottom half – your legs will look like wee toothpicks with that juxtaposition.

Lastly, we’ve got the knit sweater dress ($79) and the velvet stirrup leggings ($54).  While well fitting sweater dresses are a fall staple, velvet stirrup leggings  can take a basic piece [like the dress] and turn it into something exceptional.  Whether you’ve embraced velvet yet or not, you had better get used to it – velvet is gaining power like a ticked off hippo.
