Madness For Jimmy Choo x H&M In Vancouver

H&M jimmy choo release vancouver pacific center lauren martin doozywhoop demicoutureSeeing as I assumed complete shopper’s terror occuring, I didn’t even bother to make it into Jimmy Choo x H&M’s Saturday release.

The photo below is of the Vancouver Pacific Center location, specifically the quartered off area for the Choo merch. According to Lauren (who snapped the photo), the line went from the inside entrance of the store off to the exit around the building.

That kind of insanity I can pass on.

Did anyone get to grab up any of the Choo X H&M merch? I want to hear your tales of horror/extreme buying bliss!

Went a mere hour after the doors had open on Saturday morning. Maintenance workers still cleaning up after the lineup that had been waiting outside. Lots of paper cups and food wrappers discarded carelessly by the waiting customers — would it kill you to put away your trash or to hang on to it, instead of dumping it on the ground and assuming someone is going to pick up after you?

Inside was a crush of people. Lineup to the Jimmy Choo pen crowded with women clientele. Upstairs in the men’s section, it was pretty much cleaned out. Wallets, belts, some suits, and some t-shirts are left. (Managed to snag a blue scarf though.) View from the menswear floor provided a bird’s eye view to the whole scene of security, staff, and customers.

I think they should go back to weekday launches if it’s going to attract unbearable crowds. Somehow the fun was sucked out, and it became more tedious than anything else.

In line at 7:20AM with a long wait ahead of me. I managed to get myself a leather jacket from the women’s collection (which was exactly what I wanted!) and had to wait in line for another 2 hours indoors to shop the shoes, accessories and bags since I didn’t have a wristband. It was a long wait, but I made some friends at the end, so it wasn’t all that bad! And I got a pair of shoes! I posted pictures on my blog, if you like to have a look.

@Meowth: I’m glad to hear a positive story come out of the madness!

I keep hearing things about the managers + staff getting first pick of the goods (which wouldn’t shock me, but still) – your scores look amazing.. lucky duck!

FYI i work for HM Pacfic Center and we definately didnt get first pick of any Jimmy Choo items!
In fact, the only employees of HM who DID get JC stuff weren’t scheduled to work that day, therefor they could wait in line, just like everyone else!!!!

The collection was awesome, i wish i could have had some shoes/11′
