When it comes to creating a functioning lookbook to advertise your products, if you’ve got a flop then you’re not doing your band any favors. Even if you have a functional fanbase, buyers and customers still refer to the lookbook for the projected feel of the brand’s coming season.
If your lookbook appears to have been styled by George Hamilton, your potential customers are going to be looking at the overly fake ‘n baked face of the model, not the clothing. While I did like Brose’s FW09 collection, I couldn’t get past the burnt looking face of the model – I knew it was faux, but it was still incredibly distracting.
Second only to the orange face was only to the poor girl’s look of discomfort while posing. The Brose pieces looked comfortable enough, so I’m blaming the stylist and makeup artist for this one. Shudder.

I like Brose’s work but this lookbook is not a good way to represent her S/S 2010 designs. What were they thinking by dump self-tanner all over that model?
