Since you can’t always be in sequins during the holiday social circuit, it’s an excellent idea to hold some key pieces that work in casual and un-causal, respectively.
Levi’s has released a pair of plaid denim for a modest price ($79.50 US) to the world, and they’re incredible. I’ve had my fair share of tribulations with attempting to find the ideal pair of tartan trousers, failing each time so finding these babies is a sigh of relief.
Why the failures? Let me count the ways! My struggles were mainly due to fabric; when cheap[er] trouser cotton is worn it easily loses its shape, even if the cut is thin. When one doesn’t have the budget for a pair of designer bottoms, your choices are scarce.
Denim is the ideal alternative as it has natural fiber give, and the fabric is thicker. This way the pants will mold to your body without permanently losing its base shape, and they will flatten any suspect lumps on your bottom half.
The only minus to these is the low rise, but hey, we can’t have it all for such a reasonable price.
Would you dip yourself into tartan jeans?
