French Connection has released a hybrid of a blazer and a band style jacket in lovely leather. It’s been dubbed the ‘Sammie’, and has everything one would need to attempt a Balmain inspired FW09 look.
I’m liking the asymmetric button up and the sleeve detailing, though I’m not going nutty over the asian collar – a button held collar would have done the jacket better justice. Regardless, this is a strong piece for those who dear to wear.
The Sammie won’t be coming cheaply, though – at roughly $618 CA (£350) you’ll be wearing this beauty with your wallet weeping and your head spinning.
Regardless, I can imagine this looking super sharp with nearly anything in trend this season, so it will likely be a safe investment for those willing to cast away the coin.
