As promised, Kate Moss and Philip Green’s Topshop empire delivered on another collaboration range this morning.

The hits in the collection won bigger than in previous memory; shaped sequin mini ($250) and maxi dresses ($370) were amazing concerning evening wear potential, as well as the Victorian jacket ($210) which was simple enough to layer either former dresses and yet carry its own detailing without going overboard.

The on trend studded vest ($125) is a preference for those fans of the Mike & Chris Trevor studded vest, yet don’t wish to pay eight large for the privilege of a wear.  The lace ruche bodycon dress was also a favorite ($160) for its slight details and layer friendly design.

I was disappointed that the premiere evening coat ($380) of the collection was constructed with suede; with holiday times being very soggy with rains and snow, wearing suede is a death wish for the piece.  Topshop would have been clever to use leather instead as it wears better, longer and is a highly statement look.

The range held true to its past; the exceptional pieces were just that, while the other pieces aren’t worth a look as the pricing is too exorbitant for what you receive.
