Alexander McQueen gave us a visually violent interpretation of houndstooth that was incredibly amazing, but I’ve got my own more budget friendly vision to share.

The power of McQueen’s runway show was an in his usage of the prints and the intense image that it gave. We’re using less houndstooth than McQueen did, but this is a little less retina burning than what we saw on the runways. I’m still using contrasting prints, though they are submissive to the houndstooth rather than creating a clash.

Try mixing and matching at shops and online stores to find your ideal pattern blend – practice makes perfect.
