Avril Lavigne Releases “Grown Up” Version Of Crappy Dawn

How humiliating – she thinks she did a job well done.

This is the most poorly put together excuse for a ‘fashion’ line I’ve seen, well, since her last ‘designing’ efforts.  There is a slideshow of the abhorrent design involved with Abbey Dawn below; it’s a mashup of poorly designed psuedo punk stereotypes and gentleman’s hats.

Apparently the basis of the collection was whatever Avril would wear, which is the problem in the first place.  These poor models were dressed up to look like mallrats crawling out of the local Hellmouth, complete with tulle, pyramid studs, Doc Martens, checker print and ghoul makeup.

It was all incredibly awful, and led me to believe that anyone with enough cash can buy a spot in NYFW.

I had no idea the organizing team would allow their event’s standards to plummet to subterranean levels!

@Adrienne: I know! It’s incredibly damaging for NYFW’s reputation to be hosting this swill.

Actually Avril’s clothing line has been out for over a year and it is highly successful and it is selling so well that the line is expanding to include Jewelry, handbags, shoes and watches.

Kar: I know it’s been out, I mentioned that in the piece. It didn’t actually sell well; I remember how Abbey Dawn was clearance material for ages – it’s a failure of a line.

This clothes is hot and your not a poser for wearing what you like. I love this stuff and I wear it. I don’t care what people say about it because this is my style. I don’t really understand why people who wear punk clothes are called posers and no other clothing styles that people wear are called posers. Does not make sense to call us posers

@Alice: ‘this clothes is hot’? Right.
