Chanel’s new ad crop featuring Lily Allen is out, and far campier than I assumed Karl would take things.
Lily has been styled and shot to resemble Audrey Hepburn (coincidence? I think not), though a cheaper version of her. I actually don’t mind Lily Allen at all, but these are just bad photos; I expected far better from a first rate house that has an incredible creative head and unlimited budget for creatives.
I think perhaps worse than the dull shoot was the styling – it was a perfectly awful mix of upper class chav, granted it all isn’t as awful as their Keira Knightley bomb.
