Betsey Johnson’s Fall Show To Be Her Last As Head Designer

After this September’s show, Betsey Johnson is angling to hang up her leopard platform heels for good. Seriously. New York magazine says so.

Don’t fret Betsy lovers; the label is far from over (or without her influence). She wants to ‘be like Ralph Lauren’, and be able to come in and check up on progress, give her word on final design decisions, etc.  Eric Sartori (previously with Vera Wang and Hervé Léger to name a few) is Johnson’s first choice for taking the reins after a bit of Betsey-fication.
