I know where I’d seen these before – on my best friend’s pear shaped mother circa 1995. It wasn’t cool then, and isn’t rad now. As we have ‘mom jeans’, of course there are ‘mom shorts’. Even if you’re a size 2, you still look like you’re wearing a diaper, so please pass on these horrors.

My image example is from Nine West’s SS09 collection, knowns as the Ashlads ($49). I have seen many attempt and all fail that go for an incredibly high rise short; especially if the shorts feature multiple buttons to draw more attention to the fact that half your abdomen is concealed.
