As SS09 draws closer, the time for rich colors and dark washes dominating the visuals in your closet draws to a close. As we toss aside high saturation in trade for a bit of a wash out, there are a few options when it comes to selecting our choices for spring denim.
I chose to opt out of the raging denim tear trend that seems to be re-emerging from 2006 in favor of whole pairs that have been treated chemically to produce a fade effect. While the majority of the five pairs below are skinny leg; I did locate a nice wide leg design with a high waist (how very sailor 70s!) by Phillip Lim.
One can easily avoid the acid wash re-phenom when it comes to a light wash, but I personally fancy the look of texture it gives the leg. If you’re wearing a nicely created acid wash, you can wear all solids and still look as though you have some fabric texture; how handy is that? It’s perfect for rush-rush dressing.

YES! I am totally into light-wash denim right now. I have a high-waisted pair from grey ant, but I needs some skinnies, too.
I’ve considered buying a pair and bleaching them myself, but I’m too chicken…
@Tamia: For what you have to pay @ some retailers (not even $30 @ Forever 21), you may as well not risk it and have the factory drones bleach ‘em for you! Hope your search bodes well.
