I was turned onto this story by a fellow Twitter’er [follow OptimumPR] and couldn’t help but discuss its rediculosity. Apparently a Canadian model is suing because Google (who owns Blogger.com) as they refused to give up the information regarding an anonymous commenter that supposedly defamed Liskula Cohen‘s name.
According to the Calgary Herald,
“…the anonymous author published a host of comments regarding Cohen’s age, appearance and career, as well as photographs of the model.”
While I have to admit I can’t find the original blog post that spurred the law suit to read the supposed slanderous opinions, but I’m siding with Google on this one; props to them for keeping a sliver of internet anonymity alive. Unless you are receiving some seriously offensive opinions that runs laps around some loud mouths on Perez Hilton, get over it.
This is the Internet honey, and not everyone is going to like you.
This sounds like another publicity stunt by an aging has-been. Nice try, Liskula.
