Though I can’t find a single piece of news bound confirmation that this is actually the gospel truth; but the rumors are swirling that the much loved leather jacket manufacturer is dead or hastily dying.  I find this a hard blow; Mike & Chris make (made?) some of the most beautiful leather products I’ve had the pleasure of thumbing.

There were rumors of mismanagement and other internal problems back in March 2008, and again in November when the label canceled their first East Coast sample sale in NYC.  I wonder if it was the $900+ price points for a fairly young company that did them in, or mismanagement?

Regardless, I’ll keep scowering the interwebs for more information on what the %#^$ is going on here.  At the very worst, the public may be in for one flipping massive stock blowout sale.  I’m keeping my eyes (and ears) peeled for that one.
