A Hoody To Go Along With The PVC Craze

I found this hoody while visiting the American Apparel factory in LA, and had to share it with you all. While this hoody may not be made of real leather, it makes for an acceptable, comfortable and stylist substitute.

Since PVC (or lookalikes) are all the rage this Fall, this is an easy and fairly safe bet to get in on the trend. The polyester looks a bit wet and is more interesting to look at then regular cotton, and $60 isn’t bad either.

Check it out.

There’s a reason PVC jackets only cost $60, and that’s because they’re extremely toxic and cheaply made…not saying I’m not guilty as I have old PVC jackets in my wardrobe, but isn’t fashion beyond this? PVC is really all the rage now?

Yes, from leggings to jackets it’s back with a vengeance. I figure it’s no worse than some of the looks we’ve seen on the latest fashion weeks (though perhaps a bit more environmentally toxic!)

since the jacket is made to look leatherish, i don’t think it’s supposed to look plastic. sure is stylish ;)

Well, there’s no possible way for it to be confused with real leather; so I’d have to disagree.
